Newton's Third Law of Motion

"For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction"

In my universe this translates into the following:

"For every morning that I arrive early at the Hodgdon's to drop off Jubal, there is an equal and opposite morning in which I break the speed limit and still arrive late.
The application of Murphy's Law results in me picking him up late in the afternoon as well.
Murphy and I are old friends.
