The Good: Celebrating Nolan's14th birthday with Mom, Dad and Aunt Suci.
The Bad: Receiving multiple texts from Don during a football game. This only happens when New England is faltering and he wishes to irritate me.
The Ugly: The Patriots' game plan execution against the Ravens and the annoyance of having to hear about a Harbough vs. Harbough Superbowl for the next two weeks. Ugh.

UNO Conversation at the Gilbert's
Tell discovered the game of UNO at Winter Blitz this weekend and immediately upon arriving home, headed to the game shelves to see if we had it. When it was discovered that we did, I was made to promise that I would play a game with him today. So this evening found my three boys and I playing a few rounds of UNO while Atira had her belated Birthday supper with my Dad at Ruby Tuesday's.
Here is UNO conversation:
Tell: That was awkward.
Jubal: Do you even know what that means?
Tell: Awkward means a little embarrassing.
Me: You are so smart.
Tell: You told me.
Me: I am so smart.
Jubal: (to Tell) You have quite the humble mother.
Enjoying all of my boys' personalities interacting together was a lot of fun. This is something we definitely need to do more often.

So Close
I was in Wal-mart a couple days ago to pick up tissues for the half of our family that was down with sickness. Jim, Tell and I managed to escape with just a couple of days feeling weak and slightly off. The empty shelves were an indicator of how many people are suffering sickness.
I was very thankful because illness always steers me off my gym habit which I find so hard to get back on. I'm so close to my 1st stage goal of losing 20 pounds and I want no distractions! I'm only 4.75 away from success. Then begins my stage 2 goal, which is to lose 15 pounds by the AT Hike on April 13. I have confidence it can be done.

Onto 2013
- Though we were missing a few families due to sickness, a wrenched knee and car trouble, we managed to scrape together the Morrills, Fishers and Foremans for a New Year celebration.
Good food, Mad Gab, Apples to Apples and general foolishness filled the hours until just before midnight. Headlights at 11:56 signaled Deb's arrival from her hospital shift just in time to ring in the New Year with us.
Then Jim and Sandy enjoyed a couple of celebratory Pirouette cookies to end the evening. Now, my bed beckons and I must obey. Welcome, 2013.
